Rescue KT Training Mannequin (version 2.0 is shown above) allows staff to practice injecting epinephrine into something more human-like than an orange. It also gives staff an opportunity to learn how to position themselves relative to the child in order to give the injection. Many people have never given an injection. So being able to simulate the situation including the psycho-motor action of injecting a child (mannequin) lying or sitting on the ground, will likely give a more lasting and realistic impression of a situation they may one day face.
Staff who have gone through training with the RescueKT mannequin say that it feels very different from holding and injecting an orange in their hand. It is much more realistic. For some, it even conjured emotions they may feel seeing a child lying on the ground. It gives them a tremendously more confidence.
Version 4.0 of Rescue KT Training Mannequin will be available for purchase. Pictures will be posted here in the near future.
On-line ordering available soon.
